Camp Kirkwood!

In the beginning of our DA school year the 6th grade went to camp Kirkwood. When we went there was a hurricane, it was pouring and flooded the camp!

When we were on the bus going to Camp Kirkwood it was pretty fun because I just talked with my friends for like 2 hours! But when we got there it was raining and we had to carry all the duffle bags into the pavilion. After that we went to our cabins to get set up like make our beds and unpack. We went to lunch after that and did our first activity which for me was the pool. I had a good time at the pool because I was with my friends. After that my group had team building. In that we did a bunch of activities one was trying to bring the hula hoop to the ground but only with two fingers. After we had dinner I played dodge ball and it was pouring and my socks got very wet. We went back to our cabins and went to bed.

The next day I did the kanga jump which was a big trampoline basically, learned about trees, and did the V-swing. All of these activities were fun! At night we made S’mores and sang songs! The s’mores were really yummy!!

On the last day we were there we packed up and did the zip line! That was one of my favorite activities that we did there. We also did kayaking which was cool because we could watch the people zip lining above us. Then we got back on the bus and headed home. I was really tired after that trip!
